Carcassonne is a little further away, around 80km from Toulouse. It's a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city itself was built upon ruins that have been dated to times before Christianity; now that's old! The city is a well-preserved medieval fortress… one you might recognize from the film Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves. Don't miss the live medieval jousting matches held twice daily between the two city walls.
Mediterranean seaside
