You can park nearly everywhere and then just explore the town centre on foot. The architecture is particularly noteworthy.
• A little further: Limassol is the second largest city in Cyprus and is a major sea port for the country. There are two castles that a worth checking out: Limassol Castle and Kolossi Castle. Apart from that the beaches and seaside culture is laid back and worth enjoying. There is a great festival during February and March called the Limassol Festival… this is the best time to visit the city.
• A proper day-trip: Dhekelia is a British Overseas Territory not far from Larnaca. Although small, it's worth checking out if only to discover the long history that the UK has with Cyprus.
