Boat Cruises: Especially pleasant in the early summer and spring are boat cruises from the harbour. The waters tend to be calmer in the morning than the afternoon. When negotiating the price, always assume the normal fare is half of what is first offered. Don't be scared to negotiate.

Shopping: It is illegal to export antiques from Turkey and is strictly enforced at customs when leaving the country. Do not let vendors or shopkeepers try to tell you otherwise.
