Hong Kong International Airport is without a doubt one of the world’s busiest airports and in a single day handled a record-breaking 1,081 flights, both inbound and outbound on December 29th, 2012. The airports previous record was 1,057 which was set in January last year. The increase in flights is no doubt attributed to the demand over the Christmas holidays.

Hong Kong is easy to reach from the UK. British Airways, Qantas and Cathay Pacific fly direct from London but flights with at least one stopover are almost always cheaper. Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) is considered one of the best airports in the world, so don't rush out too quickly!
For those seeking a warm holiday, the best time to book cheap tickets to Hong Kong is between October and December. Those who can't face the tropical humidity, plan your trip later in the year, from January to March.

Holidays in Hong Kong are magical. Hong Kong is an incredible city! It's huge and in no way can one see it all in one visit. It's as culturally diverse as cities come. While the city centre area may be a concrete jungle, just outside the city limits are mountains, rocky islands and picturesque wilderness, best accessed with a Hong Kong car hire.
Tea time: Just like in Britain, tea time is an essential part of the day between 14:00 and 15:00. Head to a bakery, pick up some egg-tarts and get yourself a cup of "silk-stocking" tea, a very strong brew with evaporated milk.
Beaches: There are more than 200 nearby islands as well as a coastline that is full of interesting bays, all lined with beaches. Repulse Bay, Shek O, Big Wave Bay and Huan Shing Yeh Beach are the most popular.
Tian Tan Buddha: Just up from the Po Lin Monastery is the famous 23m tall Tian Tan Buddha. It weighs a whopping 202 tonnes, no wonder since it's almost solid bronze. It's worth climbing the 260 steps to reach the top, we promise.

Both business and leisure travellers are taken care of in Hong Kong. You won't find any cheap hotels in Hong Kong near the harbour but smaller boutique places make up for their lack of views with excellent personal service.
