History of Air Saint-Pierre
Air Saint-Pierre was founded in March of 1964, beginning by operating short regional flights between Saint-Pierre and Sydney, Nova Scotia. In its early years it concentrated on acquiring aircraft, mainly small Canadian-made ones. In 1979 two new routed were added from Saint-Pierre to Miquelon and Halifax. To celebrate Canada Day in 1987, Air Saint-Pierre inaugurated its longest route yet to Montreal. More recently the airline has upgraded its fleet.
