Air China, the only airline company to carry the national flag in China, offers flights domestically as well as internationally, all routing to and from the republic’s capital of Beijing. Air China has successful partnerships with over 20 other airlines since joining Star Alliance. From London, Paris, Munich, and more, direct flights exist only to Beijing but from there transfers to the rest of Asia are possible (Singapore, Tibet, India, Malaysia, Japan, or Korea).
Air China was founded in 1988 on the first of July. The formation of the airline was the result of a government decision. The Civil Aviation Administration of China was split in 6, one part of which was named Air China. It operated intercontinental flights, serving 31 international and 30 domestic destinations. In 1989 Air China entered into a partnership with Lufthansa. In 2004 the airline took over Zhejiang Airlines and China Southwest Airlines, making it one of the largest and most important airline carriers in China.
Child fares are available for those aged 2-12. Infants are discounted 90% of the adult fare and will travel on the lap of the accompanying adult. All other special offers are listed on Liligo.com.
