Wildlife safaris: Nearly 1/5 of Botswana is parkland and wildlife reserves. You’ll see everything from lions, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, antelope and more. Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park and Makgadikgadi Pans National Park are all good choices.

Kalahari Desert: The Kalahari Desert covers a huge area and the terrain varies from thick bush to salt-pans. Base yourself in Ghanzi, a bushman town, for day trips into the desert and to the nature reserve.
