The Andaman Sea awaits and most visitors will touch down in Krabi Town before venturing out to smaller towns, capes, islands and coves. Sleepy islands with incredible beaches await, so don't forget to pack your suit and some sunscreen!
Essentials in Krabi
Had Yao: This is one of the last untouched beaches in Krabi Province and offers sunbathers the most amazing views of Jum Mountain, Ko Phi Phi and Railay's Cliffs in the distance. The beach is 7km long and there are few buildings around except for a dozen or so luxury villas.
Ko Phi Phi: This is Thailand's largest marine park and is also where The Beach was filmed. The region includes six islands, the largest being Ko Phi Phi Don. With so much protected marine area, this is a fantastic place to go scuba diving.
Krabi Town: Krabi Town is located inland with no beaches so, as you can imagine, visitors don't stay longer than a night or two. While you're here don't miss a trip to the Tiger Temple, one of the most famous temples in Southern Thailand located on the top of a mountain. If you can climb up the 1,237 steps to the top, you will be rewarded!
