Flights to Menorca: practical information

Cheap airlines to Menorca

Menorca Airport (MAH) is located in the city of Mahon and has international connections from all over Europe plus region flights to other Balearic Islands and mainland Spain. When to book flights to Menorca

A destination like this gets really busy in the summer when everyone arrives to spend their summer holidays in Menorca. Price of flights largely depends on what time of the year you visit this stunning island.

  • Peak season: July and August, Holy Week (Easter holidays).
  • Low season: The rest of the year.

Flight duration

Flights to Menorca take between 2h and 2h 20min from London.

Experience Menorca: what to see, what to do

Menorca is a pleasant break from Mallorca. There are less tourists and more chances to experience authentic Balearic culture. The island may be small but it has more beaches than Ibiza and Mallorca combined… just with far less people. What's not to love about that?

Essentials in Menorca

Fornells: This small fishing village on the island's northern coast is the best place to taste the island seafood. There are plenty of seafood restaurants on the waterfront, many overlooking the pretty bay where all the fishing boats moor up at night.

Monte Toro: For excellent panoramic views, Monte Toro is your place. You can only reach it with a Menorca car hire but it's worth it. As the highest point on the island, you can imagine what kind of views are waiting for you from the top.

Beaches: As mentioned above, Menorca has some great beaches. They're generally not crowded, even in summer. Near the capital, try Es Grau or Platja de Punta Prima. In the north, try Cala Pregonda.

Accommodations in Menorca

If you're looking for hotels in Menorca, make sure you book your rooms as early as possible, especially if you're going to be visiting in the summer. In the high season, it can be extremely difficult to find accommodation upon arrival. Outside the summer months however it's very easy and you can also find some great bargains as well.
