Great Himalaya Trail: The entire route takes 57 to as many as 160 days to complete but it's possible to trek just portions of this route which spans the entire Himalaya range from Namche Bawa in Eastern Tibet to Nanga Parbat in Pakistan.
Bhaktapur: For history and heritage, head to Bhaktapur, a well-preserved historic city that is most known for its pottery-making traditions.

You can easily find budget accommodations in Nepal at the last minute and in person, just be aware that prices are always negotiable. Also keep in mind that cheap rooms don't always include sheets, blankets and towels. MId-range 3* hotels are your best bet if you're looking for air-conditioning, private bathrooms and internet access.
