Aregua: This small town is home to many artists and writers so you can expect plenty of studios and museums to visit. Outdoor street markets are filled with beautifully painted ceramics.

You can find decent hotels in just about every city in Paraguay. Hotels in Ciudad del Este certainly take advantage of all the visitors heading for the waterfalls so hotel room prices tend to be more expensive here than elsewhere in the country.
