Essentials in Fuerteventura
Corralejo: Located on the northern side of the island, Corralejo is famed for its beaches and strong winds which make it the perfect destination for kite surfing and windsurfing. Sand Dune National Park is also located here, where huge desert-like dunes hug the rocky coast.
Isla de los Lobos: Take the short ferry ride over to Isla de los Lobos. It's a designated nature reserve is perfect for hiking, walking, spending time outdoors and admiring the unique nature. You can walk around the island in 2-3 hours.
Playa del Mattoral: While there is no shortage of beaches on the island, this beach is particularly stunning. It stretches 4km east from Morro Jable. If you want to find something really secluded, just head east of this beach.

Being largely a beach tourist destination you can bet that most hotels are located within walking distance of the coast. In the shoulder seasons you can find some astounding deals on hotels in Fuerteventura but in summer, this gets a bit harder. In the towns, don't rule out the chance of renting an apartment for a week or longer if you're visiting with a group. Also, make sure your hotel has parking available for your Fuerteventura car hire.
