Grossmünster: This Romanesque church offers great views from the tower but its finer details shouldn't be overlooked. The little Gothic characters atop the towers for example. The core of the church was built in the 12th century... apparently discovered by Charlemagne.
Lake Promenade: The lake is a great place to spend an afternoon. Walk along the boardwalk which starts at Bellevue and goes for about 3km to Tiefenbrunnen. In the summertime the boardwalk is full.
Clubs: Zurich is synonymous with clubbing. Famous DJs are always in town and with the most clubs per capita in Europe, it's highly unlikely you won't find exactly what you're looking for.
