Netflix at 30,000 feet and the opportunity to Snapchat to your heart’s desire? That could soon be a reality on all British Airways shorthaul flights, as the airline has announced plans to bring WiFi to its fleet.
As of next summer, in flight WiFi could be a reality with British Airways on short haul flights. The IAG (International Airlines Group) announced the plans this week, which will also see inflight WiFi brought to Vueling, Iberia and Aer Lingus flights by next summer.
IAG’s Chief Exectutive, Willie Walsh, said that the move would offer “the fastest connectivity you can get on any aircraft” to passengers, claiming that IAG airlines would be the first to provide quality WiFi on shorthaul flights.
That means you could soon browse Facebook, use Instagram, watch Netflix and generally stay connected on your next short trip across Europe.
What do you think of the plans?
