Travel agents and tour operators in the UK & Ireland who are registered with IATA agency will find it much easier to book group travel thanks to a new online tool.
The online tool ‘Book a Group’ will be able to help the group travel agent/operator to find suitable flights, request availability and prices, book with instant confirmation and change/manage existing bookings.
Previously travel agents used an online form or sent an email to Lufthansa to enquire about group offers creating a time delay due to inefficient communication methods. But with the new portal they have streamlined the mode of communication and given the travel agent greater control over all elements of the trip.
The new portal will be running for over 12,000 travel agencies by the end of the year.
