The happiest place in the UK has been revealed! According to a recent survey, the Outer Hebrides take the title as the UK’s happiest region.
The survey, which was conducted by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), quizzed 157,000 people up and down the country. A number of factors are considered, and participants are asked to rate four areas out of ten: satisfaction with life, whether they feel the things they do are worthwhile, how happy they felt the day before and how anxious they felt the day before.
The results are now in and the happiest place in the UK has been revealed as the Outer Hebrides! The chain of islands just off Scotland’s west coast rated 8.24 out of 10 in terms of happiness, and just 2.26 out of 10 in terms of anxiety.
Northern Ireland and much of Scotland also scored highly in terms of happiness, whilst the UK’s least happy and most anxious region was London.
Time to book those flights to Scotland?!
