We use Cookies to make our Platforms work, to improve your experience by analysing traffic and customising it and to deliver personalised ads.

Cookies allow us to remember certain information about you for multiple purposes, such as delivering the functionalities of our Platforms, product development, service improvement, and business development, online advertisement, marketing analytics, information security, fraud prevention and sharing information with metasearch engines. Specifically, a Cookie is a small text file that a platform stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit our Platforms.

Other similar technologies

Along with Cookies, our Platforms may contain lines of code or small transparent image files that record how you interact with them. These include "web beacons," "scripts," "tracking URLs" or "software development kits" (SDKs).

• Web beacons is a tiny graphic image of just one pixel that can be sent to your device as part of a request on our Platforms. They are also called web bugs, tracking bugs, tags, web tags, page tags, tracking pixels, pixel tags, 1x1 GIFs or transparent GIFs. They can be used to retrieve information from your device, such as device type and operating system, IP address and time of visit. They are also used to execute and read Cookies in your browser or to place a Cookie.
• Scripts are small computer programs embedded in our Platforms that provide them with a wide variety of additional functionality. Scripts are used to make our Platform work properly. For example, they activate certain security features and enable basic interactive functions on our Platform. Scripts may also be used for advertising or analytical purposes. For example, a script may collect data about your use of our Platforms, such as the sites you visit or what you search for.
• Tracking URLs are links with a unique identifier. They are used to find out from which Platform you have accessed us. For example, if you click from a social network, a search engine or a website of one of our affiliates.
• Software development kits (SDKs) are part of the source code of our apps and, unlike browser Cookies, SDK data is stored in the app.

All of the technologies described above are collectively referred to as Cookies.

• Email pixels are not considered Cookies because they do not store data on your device. A "pixel" is an electronic file the size of a single-pixel that is embedded in the e-mail and loads when you open it. By using email pixels, we can know if the email was delivered, if and when you read it, and where you clicked. This can help us understand if there have been any technical problems, if the communication is relevant to our audience, etc. We also receive this information about the push notifications we send you. These statistics give us information about your reading behaviour, which we then use to optimize our messages and make our communications more relevant to you.

a. Cookies purposes: Why do we use Cookies?

This Platform uses Cookies for the following purposes:

• Technical Cookies. These Cookies are essential or necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled on our systems. They are usually activated in response to actions you have taken that result in a request for services (e.g. setting your privacy preferences, logging in, filling out forms) or are strictly necessary to analyse our Platform use and functioning, or for fraud prevention and security information.
• Technical Cookies do not rely on consent according to the law, as they are necessary for the performance of our services.
• Analytical Cookies. These Cookies complete the strictly necessary Cookies to better understand the user’s interaction with our Platform, including marketing performance. If you do not allow these Cookies, then some of our analytical data will not take your Platform use into account.
• Functional Cookies. These Cookies allow for improved functionality and customization. They may be set by us or by external providers whose services are integrated into our pages. If you do not allow these Cookies, some or all of these features may not work properly.
• Advertisement Cookies. These Cookies are installed by our advertising partners through our Platform. These companies may use them to profile your interests and display relevant ads on other Platforms. They work by assigning a unique identifier to your browser and device. If you do not allow these Cookies, you will continue seeing advertisements, but these will be less relevant for you.

b. Cookies duration: For how long Cookies work?

• Session Cookies: These are designed to collect and store data while you are visiting a Platform. They are deleted as soon as you leave our Platforms because we don’t need to store this information between visits.
• Persistent Cookies: These Cookies enable us to recognise you when you make return visits to us (the purpose is to enable the site to remember your preferences, e.g. user name, language, etc.). Their duration depends on their specific purposes, the longest general duration term is set at a maximum of 13 months. However, you have the possibility to delete the non-essential Cookies at any time (see the next section, “How can you access Cookie data and manage Cookies?”).

c. Cookies owner: Who is responsible for each Cookie?

• First-party Cookies: These are the ones that are sent to your terminal from us.
• Third-party Cookies: These are the ones that are sent to your terminal from a terminal or domain that is not managed by us but by another entity, which processes the data collected through the Cookies. Since it is the third parties that send the Cookies, its particular privacy notice will be applicable. You can find listed all the third parties in our Consent Management Platform (CMP).
