British Airways has agreed on a partnership with rail operators to make international trips easier for travellers coming from the South West of England and Wales.

The tie-in will connect First Great Western trail services with the Heathrow Express, making it possible for passengers to purchase a combined ticket for rail and air travel. To make the deal even sweeter, British Airways is also promising travellers who miss their connections due to rail service disruptions that they’ll get a seat on the next available flight.

Journeys can take you all the way from Plymouth to St Petersburg, among many, many more destinations! The scheme launches December 5th through travel agents and BA plans to roll it out for booking online in the near future.

The tickets will apply for travel from 11 First Great Western stations that include Oxford, Bristol Parkway, Bristol Temple Meads, Bath, Cardiff, Exeter, Plymouth, Swansea, Penzance, Par and St Austell.
