British Airways has re-launched daily flights from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur after a 14-year hiatus.
Flights officially launched on May 27th for the first time since British Airways stopped operating the route in 2001. The new flights will be operated using a four-cabin 777-200 Boeing. The airline’s head of marketing, Stephen Humphreys, commented,
“Kuala Lumpur is the star of one of Asia’s power-house economies, so it’s very exciting to be able to offer our customers daily flights. We are seeing very strong demand for the route from business and leisure customers alike, eager to explore the huge commercial opportunities Malaysia offers, as well as offering stunning places to visit and explore for holiday-makers.”
The airline will be in direct competition with Malaysia Airlines, who also operates the same route but twice daily. Looking flights to Kuala Lumpur? Who would you fly with, Malaysia Airlines or BA?
