Watergate: the temple of electro
This is the place to be on Wednesday nights after midnight. Kreuzberg hipsters gather here, surrounded by tourist hipsters from all over Europe. It’s not exactly a rooftop but there is an outdoor terrace with a beautiful view of the River Spree and the majestic Oberbaumbrücke. The music is techno-house. In any case, it is one of the best clubs in Berlin.

House of Weekend: tourists love this place
While the name might not be that punchy, Weekend is one of the most fashionable clubs in Berlin. It’s on the 12th and 15th floors of an old tower block from the Soviet era, the Haus Des Reisens in Alexanderplatz. Being right in the middle of the city, the views are spectacular, especially of the city’s famous TV tower. It’s open Thursday to Sunday and plays techno and house music.
