When you gaze out from a luxury African inspired treehouse you don’t expect to see views of the Thames, but now, safari homestays meet The Big Smoke on London’s Southbank.
The 35-foot high luxury lodge sports beautiful prints, fascinating one-off sculptures and an amazing four-poster bed. The homestay aims to display rich African heritage with authentic African interior, showcasing beautiful pattern, textures and materials, which sits really well next to the contemporary design of the lodge’s surroundings.
You are able to visit the treehouse and enter a competition for the chance to stay a night in the cosy African hideaway. For the lucky winners they will enjoy a six-course private dining menu from Masterchef 2013 quarter finalist Petrus Madutlela. The menu could be considered as exotic serving tempura meal worms with induja mayo, shaved ostrich biltong, braise terrine of crocodile and smoked goat fillet with chakalaka sauce.
Virgin Holidays is behind the installation: opening times are from 11am – 6am until Friday 29th January.
