While summer continues to disappoint in London, how about an escape to the sunny and heavenly climes of Zanzibar, an island in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Tanzania. Dreamy beaches and crystal clear beaches await…

Isn’t Zanzibar tempting? Take off to Zanzibar from London Heathrow, Gatwick and even City Airport with Virgin Atlantic, Ethiopian Airlines or Oman Air. Flights will set you back around £500-600 if purchased 5-6 months in advance. Count for flights to be more expensive during the summer holidays, June through August, when the island is most popular.

If it’s Africa’s big national parks that attract, keep in mind that Tanzania has one of the most beautiful natural parks in the world. Want to go on a safari? No problem. Tanzania tends to be a little bit more expensive than neighbouring Kenya but quality is also higher: there are fewer tourists, more space for animals and more.
