If you’re hungry right now, better skip this post and go on to the next! One artist takes travel “photography” to the next level by creating beautiful and edible landscapes.

Carl Warner is a British photographer with a very unique and unusual skill. His artistic specialty? Creating picture-perfect landscapes out of food and then photographing them. At first glance it’s hard to tell the difference between the original and the edible!

He builds 3D landscapes in his London-based studio using whatever he’s got in the fridge: salmon, potatoes, broccoli, chocolate… you name it. With the right light, he can trick the viewer into really thinking it’s a photograph of a landscape.

From America’s Wild West to stately and iconic New York City buildings, these are stunning landscapes from around the world. Travel has never looked so good!
