As if you really need us to convince you a weekend trip to Tenerife is really in order. Tenerife is not just about the beaches, the landscape, sights and attractions go way beyond just sand and lounge chairs. Take the island’s tropical forests and the volcanic El Teide, Spain’s tallest peak.
The best part about a trip to Tenerife in June is that you’ll be way ahead of the tourist droves that are bound to arrive in July. For an authentic Canarian experience, head to Santa Cruz de Tenerife and try to avoid the dense resort area in the southwest of the island. And whatever you do, don’t forget to pack a good pair of trainers or hiking shoes and make a day trip to Parque Nacional del Teide for some trekking through the old lava fields.
