It seems that we Britons are not very adventurous when it comes to travel. A study has reported a third of Britons take a foreign holiday to the same resort every year. The average UK holiday maker has been to the same place four times.
The research, by holiday protection firm ATOL has said this type of traveler is suffering from ‘returnerism’ and this isn’t restricted to only the location, but it extends to the activities the holiday marker participates in during their trip. For example, this type of holiday marker is likely to visit the same restaurant, same bars and stay at the same hotel during their stay.
The most returned to destination is Paris, closely followed by the Canary Islands and the Balearics.
