After reports that BA was considering charging for meals, it now appears that economy passengers will receive fewer in-flight meals on flights under 8 and a half hours.

Earlier this month, word had it that British Airways were planning to charge for food on short haul flights. Now, it appears that the airline will serve one meal on flights under eight and a half hours rather than the previous two. The second meal will be replaced by a small snack – which could be just a ‘fun size’ chocolate bar!

For many, for whom the arrival of the in flight meal provides a welcome diversion, the news is quite a blow.

But don’t worry – your choice of alcoholic beverages will remain the same!

What do you think of the move?
