According to a recent survey one fifth of those surveyed in a recent poll said they would prefer to stay at a hotel ran by robots rather than humans.
Kayak.co.uk conducted a survey in which 19 percent of British adults said they would prefer to stay at a hotel entirely ran by robots, this number rose to 26 percent when you filtered male responses.
Of course the novelty of robot staff had a huge influence over the results, but it was clear that the respondents had other reasons for choosing the robots. Many of the respondents believed that robots were more trustworthy than humans, and therefore would prefer to leave their luggage with them for safe keepings.
The research was conducted after The Henn-na Hotel in Nagasaki, Japan, became the first hotel to be run by robots.
