Lufthansa should be chuffed to win the award for best airline in Europe at the World Travel Awards. Similarly, easyJet won in the category of best low cost airline in Europe.
For the fourth year in a row, Germany’s national airline Lufthansa was awarded best airline in Europe. It’s no surprise given that almost all of the airline’s long-haul aircraft are equipped with Wi-Fi. The ceremony was held this year in Athens with 230,000 travel professionals called to vote.
In the low cost category, it’s British airline easyJet who won the big prize. Other winners in the airline category include British Airways as best European airline serving Asia and Virgin Atlantic for its routes to North America.
