Non stop flights to Australia are about to become a reality, with Australian airline Qantas planning to introduce the super long flight in 2018. Now, the likely schedule has been revealed.

It’s been a while now since Qantas announced plans to begin operating a direct flight from London to Perth. For anyone hoping to travel on the 17 hour long flight between the UK and Australia, the date for those flights to begin has now been revealed!

According to The Independent, the long haul flights will commence on March 26, 2018 and should depart from London Heathrow at 10am. With a 17 hour flight time, that means an arrival in Perth at around lunch time the next day.

Perth is home to the largest number of Brits of all Australian cities, making it a natural choice as the city of arrival and departure for the new flights. Currently, flights from the UK to Australia stop off along the way at connecting airports in Dubai, Singapore and China to name a few.

What do you think of the super long flight?
