An event is coming up that may make even starving artists reach for the phone to book cheap flights to Beijing.
Even better, it’s going on at Langham Place, an accommodation centre right next to the Beijing Capital Airport – so you can drop off your easel in your room and walk around the property in order to take in the one-of-a-kind gallery on offer at the resort.
Marketed as China’s first ever lifestyle hotel, Langham Place features work from local painters, drawers and other artists exhibited all over the building, totalling 400 canvases altogether.
Due to be unveiled on August 23rd, there will be a cocktail evening held at the establishment on September 10th – so it could easily be worth booking cheap hotels in Beijing and packing your gladrags, unless you’re there already for the 13th Beijing International Art Exposition, which begins tomorrow (August 19th) at the China World Trade Centre.
Even better, local artists can apply to have their own designs displayed throughout Langham Place via a specially designed website that will allow the visionaries to submit some examples of their work.
And you can take a gander at everything else on offer in the hotel while perusing the art galleries – which will be open 24/7 until the end of this year – such as the restaurants and bars, Club L Lounge and the DJs in the lobby.
