Parents in search of a holiday destination that will please the kids may find Beijing flights can get them there.

Peter Danford, owner of The China Guide and a father of three, has claimed the capital city is the ideal place to bring youngsters as the destination boasts activities to be enjoyed by children of all ages.

And families staying at the cheapest hotels in Beijing could find their little ones get along fine with the locals, as the expert described the Chinese people as friendly, curious and extremely tolerant.

He explained: “Parks are a favourite for us, filled with kid-size amusements, people practicing martial arts, musicians and even dancing.”

Youngsters are likely to enjoy a toboggan sled ride down the Great Wall, fishing for trout and taking a rickshaw ride through the Toy Market, Mr Danford added.

In a recent entry on his Fund Manager’s Diary for fundstrategy.co.uk, manager of the Martin Currie China Fund James Chong claimed autumn is the best time of year to visit Beijing.
