Daredevil, aka Jetman Yves Rossy called upon his wingman and his fellow adrenaline junkie Vince Reffet to accompany him on his flight to dance alongside an Emirates A380 airliner in the sky. Crazy right?
Soaring above the city’s famous Palm Jumeriah islands, the jetmen looked tiny compared to the mammoth A380 airliner, the largest in the world. But to us mere humans below, they looked like real life superheroes.
The stunning flight took 10 minutes, and although it appeared effortless, as if the guys just threw on their jet packs and decided they fancied an impromptu flight that particular morning, it took meticulous planning.
It’s unsurprising that flying at 4,000 feet and making shapes with a giant airbus is in fact ridiculously dangerous; therefore it was essential that all the correct safety measure were in place and dangers were identified before anyone could even think about takeoff.
Rossy told CNN, “Vince and I are thrilled to partner with Emirates and would like to thank them for helping us turn yet another dream into reality. It was absolutely surreal flying alongside the biggest aircraft there is.”
Reffett, added: “This is yet another historic flight for the Jetman Dubai team and we are so happy and thankful to be part of something this incredible.”
