Let’s face it. Pharrell William’s song Happy is pretty darn catchy and it’s inspiring people to dance around the world. These are just a few of the videos popping up all over the interwebs that showcase not only fab locations but how contagious music can be, crossing cultures.
People around the world and shaking their booties in the city streets, creating some pretty great spin offs of Pharrell William’s video which features people dancing around the streets of Los Angeles. Here is a handful of our favourites, shot in Bucharest, Paris, Krakow, Hong Kong and Berlin. Clap along!
It might seem crazy what I’m about to say
Sunshine she’s here, you can take a break
I’m a hot air balloon that could go to space
With the air, like I don’t care baby by the way
Bucharest
Bucharest isn’t usually a city that makes it onto the Euro-Tour but it should be. This video highlights some of the city’s sights and nightlife vibes and the dancers don’t seem to mind the crippling cold that rolls in at wintertime. Only slightly worrying is that Bucharesti doctors are dancing instead of operating…
Paris
This video showcases everyday Paris. Of course there’s always break dancers spinning circles in front of the Louvre! What else would you do on a holiday in Paris? We also love the shot of the just married couple under the Arc de Triomphe. This could easily pass as Paris’ next tourist promo video.
Krakow
We’ve never seen Poland look so good in winter! Despite the cold, ordinary Krakovians break out the moves on the city pavements… even the local monks show a groove or two. We love you Krakow!
Hong Kong
Pharrell William with an Asian twist. We added this one into the mix mostly to spice things up a bit among the European cities. Silk fan dancers show off their skills, PSY-lookalikes bust a move and we get a different look at this chart-topping city.
Berlin
Re-re-REMIX! If you’re looking for some new moves for the dance floor, put this video on repeat. Berlin brings you the dance version of this video and it is super-amazing-fantastic-KABOOM! It’s a long one though… a whole 12:25 minutes of Pharrell Williams goodness.
Can’t nothing bring us down!
