It is now easier than ever to travel and book flights to Kenya as the country has now launched new e-visas for UK and Irish travellers.
The change took place on July 2nd, allowing travellers to apply for their Kenyan entry visas in advance via the country’s new e-visa portal.
There is now a two month transitionary period, lasting until the end of August 2015, in which travellers can either purchase their visas upon arrival in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, at the Kenya High Commission in London or online via the portal. From September 1st, 2015, it will be compulsory to use the e-visa portal and visitors are advised to do this well in advance as it can take several days to process.
A single entry visa to Kenya currently costs £30 and is valid for three months. All British travellers require a visa to enter Kenya.
