British Airways plans to help nervous flyers relax with a new in-flight TV channel called Paws and Relax, a channel showing calming footage of cute dogs and cats.
The channel shows videos of dogs and cats wandering about, sometimes curious enough to approach the camera and give it a lick. This is the newest form of in-flight entertainment onboard British Airways on its network of long-haul flights, starting in September.
The trailer for the channel shows dogs and cats being cuddled and stroked by members of British Airways in-flight crew. The airline hopes the programmes with, “unhand the wellbeing of customers.” BA’s in-flight entertainment manager, Richard D’Cruse says,
“It might sound barking, but there’s lots of research to suggest that watching pets can enhance overall wellbeing. We have sniffed out some fantastic content that is cute, comforting and sure to appeal to travellers of all ages.”
Some of the channels stars are from the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and feature darling little ones that are in need of rehoming. Who knows, you might just fall in love with Sky the Siberian Husky and want to take her home with you when you get back from holidays!
