British wines? Yes, our thoughts exactly! Turns out Britain has been gaining speed in the wine industry over the last decade and you can now enjoy local British wines when you fly onboard British Airways.

It won’t be just any old wines served this summer onboard BA flights. You’ll be offered Bolney Estate Pinot Gris 2014 from West Sussex. Plus, BA is also service tonic water from Fever-Tree, also a UK-based company.

The local British wine will be available for First Class passengers on all flights to the USA this month. It was a big hit at Wimbledon this year and is popular for its aromas of rose, pear and jasmine.

It’s perfect as an aperitif or paired with seafood and creamy cheeses. No doubt BA has taken this into account and adjusted their in-flight menu accordingly! Cheers!
