The ban that the Foreign Office have assigned to Mount Everest will greatly impact their peak season. If they continue to enforce the travel warning, it will be too late for this season to see any tourism recovery which will have disastrous consequences on the country’s economy.
If tourists are continued to be advised not to book flights and visit Mount Everest, Nepal will struggle to get back on its feet after the effects the earthquake, especially if travellers are prevented from getting insurance due to Foreign Office advice.
