History of Jetairfly
Jetairfly was previously named TUI Airlines Belgium, which was founded in March of 2004. At the time another Belgium airline, Sobelair, went bankrupt, leaving space in the country’s airline industry for someone new. So TUI stepped up and took over Sobelair’s flight routes and landing spaces. In November of 2005 TUI Airlines Belgium changed its name to Jetairfly. In 2008 Jetairfly carried more than 2 million passengers.

Onboard Services
- Meals: Passengers have the choice to reserve a meal on board at the time of their booking for a small fee. This only applies for short and medium haul flights. 1 standard meal with a drink costs €8 per person and per flight. There is always a meal served on long haul flights.
- Entertainment: On long haul flights passengers can rend a personal entertainment player for €8. It is programmed with a variety of films, television programming, video games and music. There are even Dutch subtitles for Dutch-speaking passengers.

Baggage Allowances
- Cabin: 1 piece of hand luggage is permitted per person. It must fit within the dimension restrictions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm and not weigh more than 6 kg.
- Checked: Each passenger on Jetairfly may check up to 20 kg of free weight allowance on short and medium haul flights. On longer flights to Cuba, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Zanzibar and Kenya 25 kg is permitted.
- Excess: The fees for overweight baggage depend greatly on destination city. For short and medium haul flights, the fee is €8/kg while on long haul flights the fee is €12/kg.
