History of City Airline

City Airline was founded in 2001 by Lars Magnusson and is owned by Investment AB Janus. The airline owns five modern jets that make up its fleet; each has a space capacity for between 37 and 49 passengers. There are also 2 Douglas aircrafts which can seat 125 passengers. City Airline also operated charter services for those who wish to have their own private flight. City Airline has chartered Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Manchester United football teams and Olympic athletes.

• Onboard Services

  • Meals: There are different types of food service available on all flights, depending on flight duration and destination. Give the airline at least 24 hours notice if you have a special dietary need. The airline can provide lacto-ovo vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free meals.
  • Entertainment: City Airline welcomes passengers to bring their own reading material onto the flight as well as some electronics to be used after take-off.

• Baggage Allowances

  • Cabin: Each passenger can bring up to 8 kg of carry-on luggage. The piece must fit under the seat in front of you. The maximum dimensions are 45 x 35 x 20 cm.
  • Checked: There is a maximum free baggage weight of 20 kg for each passenger.
  • Excess: On domestic flights there is a fee of SEK 65 per kilo on luggage exceeding the weight restriction. On international flights, this fee is SEK 120 per kilo.
